Silver lake wilderness, woods trail Northville, NY
Just a short five minute ride outside the small town of Northville, NY is a short but beautiful walk, located in the beautiful and amazing Silver Lake Wilderness of the Adirondacks. To get to the trail head enter from Benson Road in Northville, NY, and watch for parking off to the side the trail, it should be right across the street. You will find a sign directing you in, and be sure to follow markers.
The location boosts a breath taking view of Woods Lake and offers a great location for fishing, picnic, and camping!
Mind you there are a lot of rolling hills here, during our brief hike I slipped several times on ice.
If your coming in from out of town, don’t worry. Available to the public per DEC rules you can even camp out here over night, to which I plan to do one of these summer nights! Just beware it is first come first serve on the camping spots.
