Hotel Review: La Quinta Suites By Wyndham

How is staying at the La Quinta by Wyndam located at 533 3rd Ave., Brooklyn NY? short answer, not the best and not the worse. The location is quiet enough, with a variety of different restaurants littered around the immediate area. If you are taking the subway around, you will have only a 5 minute walk to the 4th & 9th station, with F & G trains between Manhattan and Brooklyn.

While the hotel itself was quite nice, upon arriving we were given a room with someone already in it. We also found upon being switched rooms to the top floor, that we were unable to use the elevator as employees were using it to move mattresses, so we proceeded to carry all of our luggage to the top floor up the stairs. This and house keeping leaving laundry around the hotel left a bad taste in my mouth.

The rooms themselves weren’t too bad with a decent amount of room, cable TV with 100+, closet, desk, and plenty of outlets. The bathroom had a full bath & shower, equipped with your standard soaps and towels. The breakfast nook was a nice touch, and was kept steadily stocked with cereals, yogurts, sausage, and eggs.

In total I was only charged $200 for two nights, and overall the stay wasn’t terrible. I would give it a fair 7.5 out of 10.
