beechwood state Park, ABANDONED Girl Scout Camp
Taking a 20 minute drive to Sodus, NY from Chimney Bluffs, you can have a unique opportunity to check out the abandoned Girl Scout Camp and her structures at Beechwood state park. The camp is a former girl scout camp from the 90’s that was later left and forgotten by the town for a while. Recently the town has increased security and opened the park for camping on lake Ontario.
We weren’t able to stay long and missed some of the structures and facilities so we encourage you to support Sodus and check them out yourself! There is limited information we could find on the history of the camp, so if you have any interesting facts make sure to send them our way!
