Product Review: Vital Proteins Collagen Creamer

Higher protein breakfasts can be hard to always get with all these carb based breakfast products floating around, which is why keeping these 10 extra grams of protein on the shelf isn’t such a bad idea. Why collagen versus other proteins though? Simple, collagen is a specific protein that’s great for the joints, bones, ligaments, tendons, skin, hair, and much more. As a runner and grappler I find the benefit to my joints and connective tissue most important, both for preventative and recovery!
So what is in it? 140 calories, 9g of fat (medium chain triglycerides aka MCT), 4 grams of Carbohydrates, only 1 of which is sugar, Calcium & Sodium, both of which are good for skin and bone health. To me this looked and felt like a well balanced supplement, providing an equal amount of calories from each macro, and without putting in too much of that extra that we often end up paying for.
This product comes recommended, because even with a lower protein count than most supplements, it does its job and it gives you just enough to start the morning with a little extra protein. A cup before a workout or even after will give you a bit of those necessary building blocks for muscle development and recovery right as you start the morning.
