Saturday, December 6th, 2025 marked the final event of the year for DonnyBrooke fight promotions at the Barrie City Auditorium in Barre, Vermont. And boy, did they deliver!
Aside from the typical food, vendors, and vibrant energy in the air, this particular event hosted a 1 hour concert at the intermission for the band Heartless, which is a cover band for Joan Jett and the Black Hearts. Without fail, Donnybrooke promotions always delivers with great fights that are matched incredibly well in regards to style, ability, and entertainment, and they absolutely did not disappoint.
Fight 1: Oliver Smith (Blue) v. Dermont Gray (Red) 185 Muay Thai
Round 1: Both fighters begin by showing great offense and defense and very different fighting styles. Smith gets in a great uppercut to Gray. Gray gets knocked down, but gets back up just as quick. Smith is great at switching it up between traditional and southpaw positions, and delivers just as strong in both positions.
Round 2: Smith attempts a kick, but Gray blocks, Gray gets knocked down yet again, and gets up visibly furious. Smith gets Gray pinned and gets in some really great punches, knees and kicks in the process. Gray is down yet again. Ref calls the fight.

Quac gets Ethan back to his feet and proceeds to knee him from behind. Quac then continues to slam Ethan right on the tailbone yet again. Ethan gets loose and gets some good kicks in. Quac has a lot, and I mean A LOT of power, while Ethan has impeccable strategy. This is a really interesting and fair match.
Round 2: Ethan nails Quac with a spinning kick right off the rip. Ethan appears to have gotten his 2nd wind. He is getting some great contact, but Quac continues to block very well. Quac picks up Ethan yet again and drops him right on his tailbone. Ethan gets pinned against the cage, and the round ends.
Round 3: Both fighters really go hard and clearly want this victory. Quac tries to slam Ethan yet again, but couldn’t quite get him down. Quac grabs Ethan’s leg and refuses to let go. Ethan tries to escape but only drags Quac halfway across the cage and Quac manages to bring him down yet again.
Winner: Quac Nguyen via unanimous decision.
Fight 3: Ronald Skellie (Blue) v. Dane McIntosh (Red)
Round 1: Skellie begins by delivering an overhand to McIntosh. Both spend the beginning of the fight trying to gauge and feel out each others movements. Skellie gets McIntosh pinned against the cage and ground, and the fight gets called by the ref at 1:50 remaining in the first round.
Upon replay of the footage, McIntosh did indicate a very subtle tap out. Shout out to the refs for being attentive and focused to notice this small maneuver and assure all fighters were safe.
Winner: Ronald Skellie via verbal tap out
Intermission
This event’s intermission was very unique and different to previous events. The intermission consisted of a 1 hour musical performance of the band Heartless which is a tribute band to Joan Jett and the Black Hearts. Just like every other performance of the night, they totally delivered and provided raw entertainment for all who had the privilege to partake.
There was also a raffle for a flat screen TV which was claimed by a very happy recipient of the event.
Fight 4: Co-Main Event: Fadhil Alsamrai (Blue) v. Jerome Brashears (Red)
Round 1: Fadhil has very, very quick hands. Jerome has great maneuvers for defense. Both fighters spend the first round trying to feel each other out and understand each others fighting techniques. Fadhil kicks under the belt and the Ref momentarily stops the fight. Once it resumes, Fadhil gets in a good knee into Jerome. Fadhil gets in a couple more shots and the bell rings.
Round 2; Alsamrai moves in quick, taking no opportunities to allow himself to get hit. Alsamrai gets in a good jab to Jermone’s face and knocks him down to the ground. After Jerome gets back to his feet, the fight proceeds and Jerome slips and gets knocked down yet again, but gets right up as quick. Alsamrai pins Jerome against the cage, getting in some brutal hits in the process. Jerome is getting visibly wobbly, but he is saved by the bell.
Round 3: Alsamrai continues to move very, very quickly and Jerome seems much more focused this time around. Jerome gets in some great jabs to Alsamrai’s face. Alsamrai catches one of Jeromes kicks and pummels him in the face while trapping his leg. Right before the end of the round, Alsamrai pins Jerome and gets in several hits before the round is called.
Winner: Charlie Alsamrai Via Unanimous Decision
Fight 5: Main Event: Zane Martines (Blue). v. Tristian Jefferys (Red)
Round 1: Both fighters start very close and throw a lot of punches from each side. Zane is defending and blocking very well. Zane comes at Tristian with some good combos. Jefferys comes back with some great kicks. Jefferys seems very calculated, while Zane Seems to be hyper focused, but his movements aren’t as clear or tight.
Round 2: There is some really big power behind Tristan’s punches. Zane defends himself incredibly well. Both fighters stayed closed to each other and threw a lot of jabs and combos. A handful of which landed, and a handful of which missed and simply expended energy.
Round 3: Zane starts the round with some great jaw. Zane gets a left kick to Jefferys’ face and knocks him straight down. The ref ensures the fight can proceed and it continues. Jefferys seems visibly pissed after being knocked down, and starts going twice as hard. Jeffreys gets in a good jab to Zane’s face. Both seem to be laying simultaneous Jabs at each other. Zane picks up Jefferys and drops him within the last few seconds of the match.
