Counter for Counters in Serrada Escrima, Instructor Tony Disarro, at Saratoga Martial Arts Faestival SMAF.
In an incredible blending of modern Martial Arts and traditional Martial arts for over 20 years, the Saratoga Martial Arts Festival is a great oppurtunity for fighters and coaches to expand their knowledge.

They have four courses going on at once, giving you the opportunity to try a new art or stay with something familiar. The choice is yours with a wide degree of instructors and classes to try.

This year’s instructors included Dean Franco, Gerry DiSanto, Tony DiSarro, Guro Jun Gotico, Isaiah Hagan, Erik Harris, Tim Hartman, Guro Terry Joven, Chris LaCava, and many, many more!

A long time attendee, and returning instructor, Tim Hartman, said, “This is like a Cross section of martial arts, it’s like a buffet. Everyone coming together, to learn it’s amazing!”

With roughly 80 students in attentance this year, it also offered more time with an instructor than in some seminar settings, like those we experienced at Unity BJJ in NYC, where the room was so packed you couldn’t even move.
Students also had the opportunity to enjoy both lunch and a dinner banquet provided by the event, for students to have an chance to sit down with instructors after a long day.

Some of the instructors even brought some cool merchandise including traditional weapons, event apparel, and more!
