While scrolling Instagram I came across an interesting post from a New York rangers fan page, accusing the Carolina Hurricanes of denying tickets to people not from South Carolina, North Carolina, southern parts of Virgina, or other surrounding states.
This is the second time that PNC and the Carolina Hurricanes have been accused of denying rivals access to events, the previous incident occurred in 2022.
Instagram posts show a system saying, “Orders by residents outside North Carolina, South Carolina, or southern parts of Virginia will be cancelled without notice”.
In our opinion, this is a dirty way to fill your venue with fans, keeping out hardcore fans from seeing one of their favorite teams.
Last checked, New York Rangers were on an undefeated streak in the NHL, just took the presidents trophy, and are on course to win the Stanley cup!
While this is unlikely to sway the outcome, it does cast some shade on the unethical practices of Hurricanes Management which the NHL might need to look at further.
