New York City is home to hundreds of events each weekend, and deciding which one to be at can be difficult, but we have something in mind that will peak your interest. What if I told you there is a tournament where the whole room is a cloud of pot smoke? Well there’s a couple, and one coming up this weekend!
Chronic Kombat, a Stoner based Grappling Tournament based out of New York city, hosts events regularly through out the city, and they’re returning for another big event Saturday, March 15 from 5pm – 10pm EDT.
The Chronic Kombat Line Up
What makes this card so exciting is the supreme line up of athletes from the NYC area, with big names and talent set to grace the mats.
Grappling fans can look forward to 1 Heavyweight title fight, 1 women’s flyweight title, 1 Iron Lungs Match, and bracketed matches.
One of the anticipated fighters is Pat Shahgholi, known for his aggressive heel hooks. Pat made a name for himself early in his career landing devastating heel hook on David Vieira at EBI 20.
Another highly anticipated fighter is Jarbem Pachecco, the only Luta Livre instructor based in the United States, Founder of Jiu Livre, and well known for his unorthodox submissions. Jarbem has cornered Several UFC fighters to success in the ring, and is ready to step back on the mats himself.

Chronic Kombat will be hosting its next event at 1519 Decatur Street Queens, NY 11385, and tickets are going on sale now.
General admission to the event starts at $50 and seated admission $60, if you have a group and what a little extra with your experience grouped seating in a lounge setting is available at $265.
