On Saturday, September 13, 2025, the historic Barre Auditorium (20 Auditorium Hill, Barre, VT) will roar once again as DonnyBrooke Fight Promotions rolls out Battle In Barre 17. The family-owned promotion – Vermont’s only sanctioned MMA organization – has spent the summer building the card, and the result is a one-night festival of combat sports that combines professional and amateur MMA, small-glove Muay Thai, and bare-knuckle bouts. It’s the kind of homegrown show that puts Central Vermont on the fight map while giving regional fighters the spotlight they deserve.
Main Event: Small-Glove Muay Thai Title
The headline attraction pits John Pina against a yet-to-be-announced challenger for the professional small-glove Muay Thai title. Pina, a fixture in DonnyBrooke events and a fan favourite, is known for his aggressive style and devastating knees. He’s no stranger to five-round wars and will be looking to cement his legacy in front of a hometown crowd. Expect elbows, sweeps and clinch battles galore – when DonnyBrooke says small-glove Muay Thai, they mean it.

Co-Main: Lightweight MMA Showcase
The co-main event features a compelling lightweight clash between Andrew Provost and Joseph McNeil. Provost brings crisp boxing and seasoned grappling from New England MMA circles, while McNeil is a dynamic striker with a knack for spinning attacks. Both fighters have headlined regional shows before; with DonnyBrooke’s spotlight, the winner will make a compelling case for bigger opportunities.
Deep Undercard & Amateur Action
DonnyBrooke prides itself on variety, and Battle In Barre 17 will host 8+ amateur bouts, plus preliminary exhibition matches. An additional professional bare-knuckle MMA match is in the works. Past DonnyBrooke undercards have launched future pros, and this year’s crop will feature talent from Vermont, New York, New Hampshire and beyond.
Tickets, Seating & PPV
Tickets are on sale now through DonnyBrooke Fight Promotions. General admission pre-buy is $45 – a $5 discount off the $50 at-the-door price. Buying early isn’t just cheaper; it’s the only way to choose your seat. The seating chart closes at 11 p.m. on Friday before the event, and tables routinely sell out. VIP options include:
- First-row VIP table (six seats) for $599, complete with a waitress and a prime view of the cage.
- Second-row VIP tables (pricing varies) and individual VIP seats at $100 each, with check-in beginning at 5:40 p.m.
Doors open at 6 p.m., and general admission seating is unassigned, so early arrival is recommended. Can’t make it in person? DonnyBrooke offers an exclusive pay-per-view stream that allows fans to watch live or on-demand. Every VIP purchase includes access to the PPV.
Food, Drinks & Amenities

DonnyBrooke events have a reputation for being more than just fights – they’re community gatherings. On September 13th, the Barre Auditorium will feature concessions with hot food, snacks, and beverages so fans can fuel up between rounds.
There will also be merchandise booths selling DonnyBrooke gear, with proceeds supporting the promotion’s grassroots programs. The promotion fosters a family-friendly atmosphere, and kids are welcome when accompanied by an adult.
