Risen Invitational Brings Grappling, Live Music, and a Community Cookout to New Jersey

This summer Jimmy G & Chris Sykes, alongside LV8, are bringing a once in a lifetime event to New Jersey.
Risen! Invitational offers an outdoor experience, June 8th, 2026. The event is supposed to have live music DJ, and food in a cookout style event.
Inspired by a backyard barbecue idea, Risen Invitational has blossomed into a community-centric event focused on bringing the entire community together for one big cookout and competition.
Risen is said to have mobile combat Cairo, alongside other vendors offering food like vegan cookies, protein shakes, and specialty healthy Shirley Temples. They are still looking to fill other vendor booths and looking for exciting vendors to bring in.
Undisclosed as to which whether they are said to have games as well for families and kids.
Competitors can look forward to give away gift bags, bonuses for subs of the night, and a tough competition lineup.
Fans can look forward to seeing Bobby Riordan of Hammer Challenge Series returning for this event as well as J. Rome’s of the J. Rome’s invitational hometown favorite.
Reason is also looking at booking several bigger name grapplers from the region as well as from nationally, however, some of those names are still up in the air.
Tickets are on sale for $15 until June 8th when they go up to $20. Chris Sykes had said that he’s trying to keep these prices low because it’s supposed to be community-centric in. Keeping low prices means everyone can get in.
It is recommended to bring backup seating just in case, available seats are expected to sell out.
