“Unbelievable Adventure: Conquer the Spruce Mountain Fire Tower Challenge and Witness Breathtaking Views!”

Spruce Mountain Fire Tower is one the 30 fire towers in the Adirondack region of New York state that make up the ADK fire tower challenge. Spruce Mountain is about 2,009 feet high, and has the tallest fire tower at 70 feet tall. Located in Corinth NY, a short drive from Saratoga.

The ascent takes roughly 45 minutes up to the top, and about 30 minutes back down. While I saw some people say this hike is good for people of all skill levels, I would put it at an easy to moderate level. The incline may pose some challenges for new hikers.

While on this trail we found trekking poles and a good pair of running shoes to be invaluable. The extra traction helped immensely, while towards the top we came across muddy sections that appeared on the trail.
The best sights on this hike are going to be from the tower itself, as going up is mostly through densely wooded sections. The view itself is definitely worth the trek, the tower sits nicely above the tree line giving a broad 360 view of the mountains around it.
