Traveling again for Rolling Stonerz BJJ in Waterbury, CT, we decided to stay in Southington, located between Waterbury, Middletown, and Hartford. The Holiday Inn Cheshire/Southington hotel is located only a few minutes away from the highway, and is within walking distance of a Dunkin Donuts and an AMC movie theater.
Staff and Accommodations
The hotel staff was very engaging and accommodating, we had noticed upon arrival the elevator was out due to some vandalism, but we were placed on the first floor so we didn’t have to hike up stairs after a long day driving.
The hotel included a bar, gym, and pool. The hotels bar was fairly quiet, and the food was good for a hotel bar, while the drinks could use some improvement. Taking a dip in the pool, the water looked a bit murky like it was ready to be cleaned.
The room was comfortable and spacious, with a couch for relaxing in the room. The cozy atmosphere was perfect for unwinding after a long day of activities. The large windows allowed plenty of natural light to filter in, adding to the inviting ambiance.
Everything appeared to be clean and well-kept, and the attention to detail was evident throughout. We didn’t notice any trash, stains, or concerns, which further added to our positive impression of the space. The overall experience left us feeling relaxed and rejuvenated, making our stay particularly enjoyable.
