HCS 33 Recap: Highlights from Riverdale NJ

April, 25th 2026 Riverdale NJ, HCS 33 returned to Riverdale NJ at UFC Riverdale, Hammer challenge series brought HCS 33 back with a stacked line up of returning athletes like Covello, Gaffin, Sylvester, Kovacs, and more! HCS 33 also ran their first Team qualifier of the year after marches event was rescheduled.
The event opened with amateur super fights. The highlight match up, Kovacs returning from HCS Fight Nights, ending his match up against Ferendez with a Goth lock in regulation.
While we also saw Team Blackhole Return to defend their title in the Team Qualifier, where the first half saw Blackhole walk through Riverdale 10-0 on their home turf and hammer humbly accepted a 7-1 against ambush.
Gaffin vs Sylvester opened up the intermission, both Returning athletes from the HCS All Female Tournament. Sylvester looking good early on in the match, but losing position to Gaffin, which quickly escalated into an armbar.
The Hammer Challenge Series Team Qualifier, finished up quickly with Hammer making up for their earlier loss with a 6-3 win over Riverdale, while Blackhole Walked over ambush, 12-0.
With the Team Qualifier coming to a close, the rest of the professional matches continued. Covello seeing his second HCS loss via armbar against Cole Allam. Green returned with a Rear Naked Choke in OT, and Delasandro ended the event with a buggy choke in regulation.
