Alexander Volkov secured the win at UFC 328, but the performance left plenty of UFC fans debating what comes next in the heavyweight division.
Last night at UFC 328 we saw a lineup of amazing fights from Von defending his title successfully, to the anticipated climax of Strickland versus Chimaev.
During the co-main event we saw Von successfully fend off the grappling technique of Talia, for four rounds eventually putting the flight to an end with a TKO against the Cage. This was the second major controversial decision for the refs and commission of the night.
As Talia was very clearly and visibly still conscious and reacting during the stoppage, leading many fans to wonder why there was a stoppage at all. Talia immediately reacting with disgust and upset, after being allowed to receive much worse damage earlier in the rounds.

The night climax though was with Strickland versus Chimaev, as the gates opening up with extra security for the anticipated chaos that they were anticipating to ensue.
Jeremiah would perceivably dominate and control Strickland, being able to keep control both against the Cage, and controlling the levels and the pacing of the fight.

At one point it even looked like Chimaev was able to go blow for blow with Strickland, as Strickland struggled to compete with Chimaev’s level changes and striking combos.
Despite all of this the UFC and the commission would name Strickland the new UFC champion, by split decision (48–47, 47–48, 48–47), and what many fans are calling a questionable decision of many for the night.
