Review: Staying at the West Side YMCA

Staying in New York City can be expensive, but if you’re like me you don’t need much to get by. That is why whenever I have a race in Central Park, I normally stay here at the West Side YMCA. The rooms aren’t much but they offer enough for a short trip or business.
I stayed in the Deluxe Room on the 12th floor, I had a mini fridge, cable, closet, desk, and internet. The room includes access to the gym, basketball courts, indoor track, pool, sauna, steam and massage parlors. Their Gym offering entire rooms (brand new!) dedicated to cardio and functional fitness, with two floors of standard weights containing everything a lifter could need.
On average the cost of staying here is fairly low for the overall price of everything else, running you maybe $120 at most a night. The hotel has easy access from nearby subways, including the A,B,C, & 1,2,3.
Near by locations:
Central Park, Lincoln Center, Julliard School of music, Metropolitan Opera, Columbus Circle, NYS Public Museum, National History Museum.
