Race Review: NYRR Al Gordon 4 Mile

Celebrating the life and legacy of Al Gordon, a lifetime runner and a former board member to New York Road Runners. The race takes place in the middle of Prospect Park, you can us the map linked on the registration page of NYRR. Most trails lead in to the location. In the past I’ve taken the subway and only had a 10 minute walk, and this time coming from west side of the park only took me 5 minutes or so.
At the center of it all near the race start you will find the run HQ. Like with all events, you can find medical, bib pick up, and race merchandise pick up at this location.
The course itself does a loop around the perimeter of the park, with mostly flats and only a few inclines and declines. This race is a nice way to start off your running year.
